Hi friends! I promised myself I would get “caught up” on blogging over the winter and now it is almost spring and it did not happen! But that doesn’t mean I can’t keep trying lol!
So let’s start off this weekend with a favorite session of mine: Brooke, Winters Mill High School Class of 2016! This girl is seriously awesome. I just knew she and I would get along just fine when I heard about her love of little ones! A girl after my own heart, because as some of you may or may not know, I was an Early Childhood Education major at Towson, worked in childcare all through both high school and college, and taught 2nd grade for seven years!
Brooke is currently taking child development courses at the tech center, loves her daycare job and babysitting, and just recently got accepted at Stevenson! She plans on becoming a preschool teacher but also has an interest in Special Education. You can tell that she is just PERFECT to work with those sweet little guys- just from the short time we spent together it was so obvious she is kind, warm and genuine. Not to mention her family has fostered babies for many years, so Brooke has grown up loving on sweet babies- how awesome and amazing is that!
As for her session, we got seriously the BEST creamy sunset and perfect temps that day. I loved her outfit choices too- she picked some outfits that showed her laid back side, but also did a outfits with a touch of glam! I could tell she was a little nervous when she first got to the studio- especially about hair and makeup. But the awesome thing about the hair and makeup artists that I work with, is that they share my vision when it comes to showcasing each person’s personality. With Brooke, we knew she wanted a natural look that simply subtly enhanced her gorgeous features, and we were so happy to give her that- I mean come on- look how naturally beautiful this girl is!!! (Side note: why are all the girls I work with so gorgeous?? I don’t remember looking this flawless in High school haha!)
From Brooke, on the experience: ” I was really anxious because I am not, like, “girly” so I thought it was going to be awkward but it was so fun!! The makeup and hair ladies were so sweet and during that time I got relaxed and felt comfortable with everyone! It was definitely different than I expected, in a good way. I loved it!!! I literally talk about how much fun it was all the time- still shocked by how much I enjoyed it considering I’m not a girly girl lol!”
So excited to see what the future holds for this girl, who is truly beautiful inside and out! <3
