As a photographer, when friends of friends contact you it is awesome, because you can already guess that you will click with the couple. Lauren and Dan were no exception – they found me through a close friend, Kristin, who happens to be Dan’s sister. When we met I was excited to work with them right off the bat because I could tell they were fun, relaxed and excited about their wedding.
Lauren’s vision for a classic blush wedding came to life with lots of understated details and a color palette of peach, pink and gold. Seeing a couple in love on their wedding day is always special, but seeing a couple who also tries to make the day really special for family and friends is so beautiful. Watching the wedding day unfold, I loved seeing Lauren and Dan honor their friends and family in small and special ways. For instance, Dan’s best man was his dad. Lauren had personalized gifts for both her mom and her niece Makenzie. It was sooo sweet to see Makenzie open her present!
I just love it when couple’s exchange notes before the wedding. Lauren tried not reading it because she didn’t want to mess up her makeup haha! But she couldn’t resist!
Another way Lauren & Dan honored their families was to have each generations wedding photos displayed, I loved it!!!

Another reason to love Lauren & Dan- they know how to have a good time!! I love seeing couples relaxed and enjoying the day rather than stressing over the details. Lauren and Dan definitely did it right! There were definitely some hiccups that day, from A/C issues and heat to the threat of rain, but they just smiled and enjoyed their day and took it in stride, and it all worked itself out!
I loved how they used old photos as the table decor- how cute is that?!
Lauren did a first look with both her dad and Dan. I cried for both of them lol.

You guys I think about 1/3 of the photos I took at this wedding were of the ring bearer and flower girl, Chase and Makenzie. I know I am biased because they are my great friends Kristin and Gabe’s kids, but SERIOUSLY you guys. HOW CUTE ARE THEY!??!

And the other ring bearer!! This family produces some adorable kids so if and when Lauren and Dan have their own they can rest assured they will be super freaking cute haha!

I loved all the peonies- both in Lauren’s bouquet by Les Fleurs Floral Design, and all around the mansion property.

I took about 20 photos of Lauren and Dan’s hands during the ceremony. Look how sweet!!
They started the party off right with fun entrances and a wedding party dance- love it.
The first dance song also had me a little choked up too because it is one of my all time favorites: My Best Friend by Tim McGraw. Just by looking at these two you know that is the perfect song for them. <3

Some crazy dance floor antics definitely took place and I would be remiss if I didn’t include some of these haha. Especially that split!
Here is the reason I always have a second shooter included in every package: I took a quick bathroom break and if my assistant photographer Angelina hadn’t been there, I might have completely missed these impromptu father son dance moves!!!
